Lewis Baker has cut short his loan with Fortuna Dusseldorf to return to Chelsea.
It was confirmed this week by Chelsea that Baker had returned to Cobham to train with the first team. For the moment, he remains unregistered with the club's Premier League squad.
Baker fell out with F95 management before Christmas and was accused of going AWOL by Friedhelm Funkel after the Bundesliga's winter recess.
Funkel said at the time: "He is in London and supposedly sick, I can't check that. Usually he would have been here. I don't know what the reason is that he wasn't here.
"What I know is that Lewis Baker wasn't in the squad against Union Berlin and should have trained with the others at ten in the morning.
"But he just wasn't there during this training session. There was no excuse in advance. When he wasn't playing, he wasn't even in the stadium. All other players who are not part of the squad were there and were happy with the others.
"He was not. That has some meaningfulness..."
It then settled that the loan arrangement should be ripped up.
