LA Galaxy midfielder Riqui Puig is backing Julian Araujo to make an impact at former club Barcelona.
The Mexico fullback left Galaxy for Barca this week after an appeal against his move being blocked was successful. Barca and Galaxy closed the deal less than a minute after the January transfer deadline fell.
Puig told EFE: "I told him: 'I think you don't have to think about it: you have to go, yes or yes'. It's an experience for him to grow as a player and it's one of the best clubs in Europe.
"Araújo is a player who can give Barcelona a lot.
"He goes into space a lot, he has a lot of depth and, as Barcelona plays with very deep full-backs, he can come in very handy."
