Juventus recognise Pogba risking further knee damage with op decision

Juventus know Paul Pogba risks further damage to his knee after choosing not to undergo surgery.

The midfielder is expected to miss five weeks after suffering the injury a fortnight ago in training in Los Angeles.

Pogba was facing up to five months if he had chosen to go under the knife.

Instead, he will undergo physio with Juve management, with Tuttosport reporting that without surgery the meniscus will certainly not repair itself: the pain could disappear but if the midfielder were to make a movement similar to the one that caused the pain the first time, then the surgery will be expected.

In the latter case, the recovery time would be long, but Juventus and France, with the World Cup looming, hope that all this will not happen.
