Juventus midfielder Miretti: Nedved and De Bruyne my reference points

Juventus midfielder Fabio Miretti admits he draws inspiration from Manchester City star Kevin de Bruyne.

Miretti has been a revelation in opening weeks of the new season.

He recalled, "The most difficult thing to face last year was the physical, technical adaptation, the levels are different. Another aspect was the psychological one: adapting quickly to training sessions and matches with the first team are different rhythms.

"My idol was (Pavel) Nedved, then changing roles is now my point of reference De Bruyne. Being here is a dream, then over the years it has become a goal, and I am happy to have achieved it.

"I stop to think about my luck and feel proud of the sacrifices made. I'm happy to be here."

Miretti featured in the midweek Champions League defeat at PSG and added, "What struck me about PSG? The speed, the quality with which they performed the movements, from the unmarking to the passage, they did everything with extreme quality."
