Inter Milan boss Roberto Mancini says his squad is underdone after seeing off Carpi 2-1.
Stevan Jovetic struck both goals for Inter.
"It is pleasing to have won this game too, but the team can improve a great deal," Mancini told Sport Mediaset.
“We conceded an absurd goal, but Carpi fought hard and I tell Fabrizio Castori his side can stay in Serie A playing like that.
“Jeison Murillo and Joao Miranda were extraordinary tonight, the defence did well and we could've finished the game off earlier.
“We did well and created numerous opportunities, but they have to be taken at this level."
