Jordon Ibe scores for Bournemouth in Portsmouth draw

New signing Jordon Ibe opened his account for Bournemouth during a six-goal thriller at Portsmouth's Fratton Park.

The hosts took the lead against their south-coast rivals from the Premier League after just four minute when Gary Roberts slotted beyond Adam Federici.

Lewis Grabban tapped in an equaliser (24) but Pompey restored their lead just a minute later, Michael Smith pouncing when Enda Stevens' strike deflected kindly.

Ibe, a £15m summer signing from Liverpool, hauled the Cherries level again when he dropped a shoulder and cut inside before rifling low into the bottom corner.

The Cherries took the lead for the first time (79) when Rhoys Wiggins afforded Dan Gosling a simple task at the back post - but Pompey rallied themselves, Adam May poking home after a scramble (88) to ensure honours were even.
