Marvin Chavez had a dream debut for new club Chivas USA when scoring a double in a 3-1 win over Colorado Rapids on the weekend.
The Honduras international was traded by the Rapids during the week and ended up in California alongside former Colorado teammate Martin Rivero.
In his first game with the Goats, Chavez struck twice in the second half to lead the club to just their second win of the season and he was keeping an extremely professional mindset after downing his former colleagues.
"I didn't imagine that would happen; I was only thinking about contributing to the team," Chavez told reporters.
"I thought that we were capable of earning the three points. This was a blessing for all of us.
"I'm a professional. I came to do my job and take advantage of the opportunity from (Chivas coach) Wilmer (Cabrera). I'm happiest for the three points."
Erick Torres opened the scoring for the Goats in the 56th minute before Chavez struck twice in ten minutes prior to Deshorn Brown's late consolation goal for Colorado.
