Edouard Duplan is backing Sebastien Haller for success with Ajax.
Haller was sold by West Ham to Ajax for €22.5m last week.
Duplan played with Haller at FC Utrech and he told AD: “He had a membership in the gym next to the stadium. He always went there.
“If there is one thing that people don't know about him, I think it is that he works really hard. He may seem nonchalant, but no player at Utrecht worked as hard as Sébastien. He also surprised me in that."
Duplan added: “There is only one thing: he is 26. He is no longer in training. That means that he cannot really be trained anymore. You don't have to if you use the qualities he has optimally.
"(Ajax coach Erik) Ten Hag knows them. With that I want to say: if Ajax is looking for the perfect striker, it also has to grow towards him and tune the team a bit to him. Ten Hag will realise that. When that happens, I foresee a complete match."
