Shinji Ono has revealed that he is open to remaining with the A-League's newest club Western Sydney Wanderers.
The former Japan and Feyenoord ace joined the Wanderers from homeland club Shimizu S-Pulse in September on a two-year deal which would be revisited at the end of the initial 12 months with the option of extending.
After just 11 appearances for the West Sydney club, Ono has made it clear that he intends on staying at the Parramatta Stadium for at least a second season.
"I don't know what is happening yet but I want to stay," Ono told Sportal.
"We still have to speak about it (next season). I'm very happy with everything, the team is great and I want to play with them.
