Former Everton defender Tyias Browning is ready to commit his international future to China.
Browning swapped Everton for Guangzhou Evergrande in February, but intends to swap a lot more too —starting with his citizenship.
The defender was born in Liverpool and represented England at Under-17, U19 and U21 level. But he has a grandfather from China on his mother's side — which could give the 25-year-old an advantage in the Chinese Super League.
“People were saying I was a bit young to come to China but I came here for a new challenge and I'm enjoying it," he told the Mirror.
As for his naturalisation, he added: “I'm just waiting for it all to be confirmed, but no one's given me an exact time frame."
