David Fernandez has been named as Manchester City's Spanish scout.
Playmaker Fernandez, 36, spent 10 years in Scotland starring for Airdrie, Livingston, Celtic, Dundee United and Kilmarnock.
Fernandez told the Scottish Sun: "I am involved in football and very happy in my new life.
"It is a 24/7 thing and I watch a lot of matches, but it's not something I am able to talk about too much. It should stay that way.
"The most important thing in football are the players - not the people around them. It is better to be off the radar.
"I can't help if people know bits of information that is already out there, but I don't have to give away anything else.
"I'm a consultant - that is the most you will get!"
