Lazio great Paolo di Canio has slammed Tottenham midfielder Tanguy Ndombele over the first weeks of his Napoli loan.
The Frenchman signed for the Serie A club last month, and they have the option to make the deal permanent. He has featured in three games so far at Napoli, but was an unused substitute in their 4-1 thrashing of Liverpool in the Champions League on Wednesday.
Di Canio has noted Ndombele's lack of work-rate and believes he has a lot to prove at Napoli.
"If [Luciano] Spalletti [Napoli manager] works a miracle, I will take my hat off," Di Canio told Calcio Napoli.
"This guy doesn't want to sacrifice himself without the ball. I don't expect him to walk on water, but if he at least swam it'd be a resounding success."
The Spurs loanee will be hoping to feature when Napoli host Spezia on Saturday.
