Livingston teen Matthew Knox saw an offer from Manchester United turned down this week.
The 16-year-old midfielder spent a week at the Aon training complex last month.
Knox has also enjoyed trials with Everton, Liverpool and Tottenham, where he scored in a training match against Spurs' North London rivals Arsenal.
Dad Matthew Snr told the East Lothian Courier: "Man United came back in for him yesterday (Monday) and there was interest from QPR but Livi are holding on to him.
"It's a good felling knowing that these clubs want him."
