James McArthur admits it is a nice feeling to now be past what he describes as a 'stressful' transfer window.
The Scottish midfielder was unsure of his future at Wigan Athletic in late August before Crystal Palace purchased him for £7million but prior to his move to south London, there was an element of the unknown for the 26-year old.
McArthur was close to moving to Leicester City only to see a potential return to the top flight fall over but he was relieved to land a move back to England's premier competition.
"It was a stressful time for me over the last five or six days but thankfully it's over now," the former Hamilton Academical ace said.
"I wouldn't say it's enjoyable until you get that signed and know what your next stage is. But it's over now and I'm thankful to be a Crystal Palace player.
"It's massive to be back in the Premier League. That's where every top player wants to play and I'm the same. I want to test myself against the best players."
