The agent of bit-part Blackburn striker Maceo Rigters is to hold talks with the Dutchman's Premier League employers this week.

Frank Schouten believes a loan move may benefit Rigters's career, with reports claiming that three clubs in The Championship hope to hire the Holland Under-21 international.

Mark Hughes insisted recently that the summer signing from NAC Breda, who has played just four minutes in The Premier League all season, would not be available for loan.

His opinion may have changed, however, in the wake of Rigters's and the team's performance in their FA Cup defeat to Coventry on Saturday.

Schouten said: "We have a meeting on Tuesday or Wednesday with chairman John Williams and we hope to hear then about Maceo Rigters's status."
