Antonio Conte confidant Cristian Stellini says he can understand the Chelsea manager's frustrations this season.

Stellini was Conte's No2 with Siena, Bari and Juventus.

He told TMW: "The coach is happy only when he wins, there is no other oxygen that makes him happy so without victories he will never be fine."

Stellini admits Conte's relationship with Chelsea's board has been a surprise.

He added: "This is something I was expecting too (it would be better), but he certainly has a discomfort but it's not that Chelsea did not buy players, maybe he expected something more but it's still a strong team.

"It's not like they haven't invested any money."
