Chelsea midfielder N'Golo Kanté has again spoken of turning down Marseille 18 months ago.
While leaving, Caen, Kante chose to join Leicester City ahead of OM.
He explained to Canal+: "The clubs that wanted the most to recruit me, to make offers, were Leicester and Marseille.
"And I, at the beginning, for my career, I wanted to remain in France with a big club. I remember the generations with Niang, Ribery, we saw them in the Champions League, it was a team that I liked.
"But the two clubs did not agree, and I did not want to go to the (transfer) deadline. I thought it would be nice to join this Premier League club, putting a first foot in the Premier League.
"There is no regret to have, it was really a beautiful year."
