Chelsea ace Ziyech made Ajax victory over Twente hours after lifting CWC trophy

Chelsea ace Hakim Ziyech hasn't forgotten his roots despite now being a club world champion.

Ziyech flew straight to Holland to watch former clubs Ajax and FC Twente in action after helping Chelsea win the Club World Cup.

The 28-year-old came off the bench against Palmeiras in Saturday's final in Abu Dhabi, before attending the clash at the Johan Cruyff Arena the following day.

Ziyech joined the Blues from Dutch giants Ajax in 2020 in a £37million deal.

Ziyech spent four years at Ajax where he won the Eredivisie title and KNVB Cup once each, while also chipping in with 49 goals and 81 assists in 165 games.

Prior to his switch to the Amsterdam outfit, he enjoyed two seasons with Twente where he banged in 34 goals and provided 30 assists from 76 matches.

And on Sunday he was present at Ajax's ground to watch them storm to a 5-0 win to remain five points clear of PSV at the top of the table.
