Bury manager Ryan Lowe was delighted with Sam Allardyce's performance in their 1-1 draw with Everton yesterday.
The 17-year-old, whose grandfather managed Everton last season, has been at Gigg Lane for two years following his release from Manchester United and Lowe was delighted to give him a chance.
"He is a no-nonsense central defender, as you would expect," Lowe said with a telling smile, to reference a juddering tackle he made on Oumar Niasse.
"He takes no messing and we think the world of him. He warranted his place. He's worked hard to get his chance and he'll be the next in."
