Brosque departs Al-Ain with silverware

Alex Brosque has ended his career with UAE club Al-Ain by winning the President's Cup.

Zlatko Dalic's side defeated arch rivals Al-Ahli 1-0 on Sunday to claim their sixth cup triumph in what was Australian striker Brosque's swansong.

"I have enjoyed all my time here. It is sad to part ways but tonight was a special way to finish it," said Brosque.

"I think the way we progressed through each stage was great. The players showed a lot of determination to get where we were."

The former Sydney FC star joined Al-Ain from Japanese side Shimizu S-Pulse in 2012 and scored 21 goals in all competitions. During his stay he helped the club take out the 2012/13 UAE Pro-League title.
