Brighton are keeping tabs on Tottenham defender Joe Rodon's situation.

Rodon is an option for Brighton as Newcastle bid for Dan Burn.

Levante also like Rodon, who signed for Spurs from Swansea in a £10.9 million deal in October 2020, says the Daily Mail.

The 24-year-old started eight of his 12 Premier League outings last term, but has found opportunities harder to come by this season and has made only seven appearances, with just one of them coming in the Premier League.

Burn emerged as a target for Newcastle earlier this week, but the Magpies are still shy of Brighton's valuation, despite improving on their initial £8 million offer.

A boyhood Newcastle fan, Burn has 18 months remaining on his contract at the Amex Stadium.
