Brighton are eyeing Bolton Wanderers midfielder Josh Vela.

The Daily Mail says Brighton are watching Vela ahead of a potential move in January.

The 23-year-old has 18 months left on his contract and may be sold to help alleviate some of Bolton's financial worries.

Derby County, Leeds United and Sheffield Wednesday are also among Vela's admirers, with all three Championship clubs looking at options to bolster their midfield in the push for promotion.

Seagulls boss Chris Hughton also has Vela under consideration for the January market.
