Brescia boss Eugenio Corini was delighted with matchwinner Mario Balotelli after victory over SPAL.
The result lifts Brescia off the bottom of the table - and also marked Corini's first game since his return after the dismissal of Fabio Grosso.
"For us they are three important points, on a tough pitch and against a difficult team. There is still a long way for both teams to go. Today the most important thing was getting the result," he said.
“The team did very well. I saw the desire to work together and this is a very important thing.
“The only negative was not finishing the match off sooner."
Balotelli scored for only the third time this season, but Corini is encouraged by what he saw from the striker.
“I think that he demonstrated to himself that he can do everything, and we have to give consistency. Now we must work on this."
