Aston Villa are reportedly on the verge of securing Hajduk Split goalkeeper Lovre Kalinic for £4.9million.
The Daily Mail is reporting that Kalinic impressed Villa goalkeeping coach Tony Coton, who recently travelled to Croatia to watch the 6'7" colossus in action.
It is understood Sunderland, Leicester City and Turkish outfit Besiktas were also interested in the 25-year-old who now appears certain to complete a move to Villa Park to provide competition for Mark Bunn and Brad Guzan.
