Barcelona have joined the interest in Toulouse defender Jean-Clair Todibo.

Mundo Deportivo says Barca have made an offer to the 18 year-old, with his contract due to expire in June.

Todibo has been likened to Real Madrid defender Raphael Varane and has been watched by Real and Liverpool.

However, Barca believe they have an edge thanks to sports chief Eric Abidal, who is determined to sign his fellow Frenchman in 2019.

Abidal sees Todibo as an alternative to Ajax defender Matthijs de Ligt and has tabled a contract to the youngster in recent days.
