Brighton forward Aaron Connolly is heading for a permanent move to Hull City this summer.
Connolly was watching as Hull played a recent preseason friendly against MK Dons on Saturday.
He was a key target for Hull boss Liam Rosenior, who appears to have now got his man.
Rosenior, a former Brighton defender, said: "Without going into too much detail, and I'm not being disingenuous or lying but Aaron was always in my thoughts."
Connolly has spent many seasons of his time at Brighton on loan, including spells at Luton Town, Middlesbrough, and Venezia.
Now he will be hoping to showcase his best form with Hull City in the Championship.
